The Aleppo pine ''Pinus halepensis'' is also found in such woodlands. *The islands of Dalmatia are dominated by Aleppo pine ''Pinus halepensis'' and holm oak ''Quercus ilex''. A relict and endemic pine, ''Pinus nigra'' ''dalmatica'' also occurs.
